Huddersfield rail passengers face more disruption on the trains this summer.

As part of the TransPennine Route Upgrade services between Marsden, Huddersfield and Mirfield will be affected on Saturdays and Sundays for five consecutive weekends with Northern and TransPennine Express running to amended timetables so passengers are advised to check before they travel.

The five weekends are May 18 and 19 right through to June 15 and 16.

Train services will then be affected between Huddersfield, Dewsbury and Leeds – along with other places detailed below – from Mondays to Fridays from Monday, June 24 to Friday, July 19.

It means lots more rail replacement bus services.

TransPennine Express services between Huddersfield and Leeds will be diverted and will not run through Dewsbury. Rail replacement buses will also run between Huddersfield, Dewsbury and Leeds.

Rail replacement buses will also operate between Huddersfield and Manchester Airport via Stockport during this time.

Northern services between Leeds and Wigan via Brighouse will be diverted and will not run through Dewsbury.
