Lead singer of Welsh rock band The Alarm, Mike Peters, is bringing his intimate one-man show to Huddersfield in 2025.

Tickets are on sale now for Mike’s Love, Hope, Strength tour which will combine Mike’s music with fascinating chat and audience Q&As.

The tour in Spring next year coincides with the release of his three-volume autobiography of the same name. Mike comes to Huddersfield Town Hall on June 4 2025.

Mike broke out of his native North Wales in 1981 with The Alarm’s stunning debut album Declaration which earned them an American tour with U2. It heralded such chart hits as Sixty-Eight Guns and Rain In The Summertime.

A multiple cancer survivor, Mike received an MBE in 2019 for his services to cancer care while continuing to tour The Alarm as headliners, in addition to major shows with The Cult and Status Quo.

In May Mike announced that his “29-year-old leukaemia had undergone an overnight transformation into a rare and aggressive form of lymphoma known as Richter’s Syndrome.”

He is now embarking on an intensive course of treatment including chemotherapy and stem cell therapy and says he is now “engaged in the biggest challenge of my life and have the highest mountain to climb in order to stay alive.”

Mike intends to continue to perform this summer and autumn and is due to play with Status Quo at the Piece Hall in Halifax on August 13.

The Alarm retains a large fanbase and core audience and Mike’s 2025 tour will feature his classic music, personal memories and meet ‘n’ greets before each show, as well as audience Q&As.

The autobiography Love, Hope, Strength will provide a fascinating insight into Mike’s incredible life, not only as a rock musician but as an ambassador for cancer survivors. He has written the first volume and will work on the other two volumes this summer.

Mike added: “I have lived to tell the tale before and shall do so again.”
