Mac’s Truck Rental has announced the launch of an ambitious 12-month expansion plan, starting with the opening of a new dedicated site in Outlane.
Established in 2015 to offer flexible vehicle rental solutions, the business has continued to grow rapidly, outgrowing its original base and moving to larger premises to meet increasing demand with a larger fleet.
As part of the move, which is the first step of their expansion plan, the inside of the building has been refreshed with new office spaces, a customer handover area and upgraded workshops for maintaining the fleet of over 200 vehicles.
Jeff Wright, sales director at Mac’s Truck Rental, said: “Our experienced team at the new depot will deliver even higher levels of service and efficiency, reinforcing our commitment to exceeding customer expectations.
“The new site is key to helping us expand our footprint and be better placed for full UK coverage, with our depots in the North West, Perthshire and a new Southern hub coming in 2025.
“Compared to the more ‘traditional’ truck rental companies, we have the ability to design and build market-leading truck bodies to stock chassis, plus access a wide range of in-stock ready to rent vehicles, allowing us to rapidly respond to our customers’ needs and give them exactly what they need rather than just giving them a standard truck.”
Gerard Dockrell, head of rental, said: “This investment is already transforming our service capabilities, with faster turnarounds, enhanced call handling and advanced workshop facilities, ensuring we continue to raise the bar in the industry.
“We’ve also expanded our workforce with local talent and plan to grow further as we continue on this exciting path.
“Macs Truck Rental’s fleet is one of the youngest in the industry, and our ability to design and build our own trucks to a customer’s exact specifications is invaluable. Whether for short, mid or long term, we can deliver the right product and service for our customers.”
