Clayton West-based luxury kitchen company, KC Design House, has been shortlisted for the biggest awards event in the UK kitchen and bathroom industry – the kbbreview Retail & Design Awards 2023.
As one of four finalists in the ‘Kitchen Showroom of the Year’ category, KC Design House’s impressive premises has been selected by an expert panel of leading industry professionals as one of the best showrooms in the UK.
A true labour of love, the iconic KC Design House building was designed by the company’s founder and managing director, Richard Jewkes.
Keen to give it “tremendous kerb appeal”, he drew inspiration from German architecture to create its unique glass, timber and steel structure, which has since become something of a local landmark.
The space houses unique displays of KC’s Exclusively Made kitchen range – designed to clients’ unique specifications and handcrafted in its neighbouring West Yorkshire workshop – alongside cutting-edge German design brand, SieMatic.
Richard said: “I’m extremely proud that KC Design House has been nominated as a finalist for the coveted kbbreview showroom of the year award. It’s a testament to the team for our ongoing commitment to our clients and their needs.

KC Design House will now be visited by judges in the final stage of the process for the Kitchen Showroom of the Year category, which is sponsored by InSinkErator.
The kbbreview Retail & Design Award winners will be announced during a glittering black-tie event on April 20 2023 in Cardiff, where around 700 of the sector’s biggest brands, leaders and influencers will gather to recognise the best of the best.
Celebrating its 29th year in 2023, the kbbreview Retail & Design Awards is the longest-running awards event in the industry and is organised by kbbreview publisher Taylist Media.
