Kirkburton sprang one of the shocks of the day by knocking Berry Brow out of the Huddersfield FA Challenge Cup 3-1 with a goal from Troy Toulcher and a brace from Jack Goring. Wayne Shooter scored a consolation for the Brow.
Linthwaite Athletic marched into the next round with a comprehensive 10-0 win over Cumberworth. Ben Green and Ryan Wadsworth both hit hattricks with further goals from Connor Beaumont (two), Jamie Arundel and Jake Morley.
Scholes Reserves progressed to the next round of the Huddersfield FA Trophy with a narrow 4-3 win over Dalton Dynamos A with goals from Louis Brook, Lewis Elsy (two) and Isaac Oldroyd.
Oak Soccer United from the first division of the Wakefield & District Football League proved too strong for AFC Volunteers in a 4-1 win in the West Riding County FA Trophy.
In the League, division 1 Holmbridge travelled to bottom club Shelley and won 4-1 with goals from Seb Allen (two), Max Morley and Robert Parr with Oliver Sutcliffe scoring for Shelley. Kaylem Billy, James Capewell, Daniel Morgan, Tom Radley and Max Joice were all on the scoresheet as Skelmanthorpe comfortably beat Diggle 5-0.
In division 2, top of the table Dalton Dynamos were held to a 3-3 draw by Kirkheaton Rovers. Kirkheaton move up to third place and their scorers were Ben Hallitt (two) and Dan Hallitt.
Netherton currently in second place were defeated by bottom club Marsh United 3-0. Scorers for Marsh were Robert Holroyd (two) and Danny Murray.
AFC Lindley moved up to fourth place with goals from Mark Baggs, Luke Gilman and Jonny Crowther in a 3-0 win over Lepton Highlanders.
Grange Moor Saints drew their midtable clash with Scissett 1-1 with a goal from Cameron Wilkey. Marsden went up to fourth with a high scoring 10-6 win against Hade Edge. John Conheeney (three), Fraser Hepplestone (two), Jason Shaw (two), Lee Wood, Joshua Heeley and Oliver Iannacone scored for Marsden whilst Lewis Barden, Anas Galib, Rory Hunt, Ashley Cutts, Luke Heavens and Adam Taylor scored for Hade Edge.
Meltham Athletic beat bottom club AFC Dalton 5-2 with goals from Toby Farrington, Nick Whiteley, Jack Ellis-Pownall and Oliver Legg (two).
Saddleworth United went top of division 4 with a 5-0 thumping of Flockton with goals from Robert Kivlin, Tommy Bunn (two), Jacob Longmore and Andrew Cooney whilst Wooldale Wanderers dropped to third place drawing at home with Mount 6-6. Scorers for Wooldale were Joe Hampshaw (two), Connor Castle, Oliver Haigh, Brian Moulds and Damian Pawson. Ben Skinner, Tristan Samuda, Jay Wells (three) and Cameron Bradley-Carter scoring for Mount.
In the reserve sections division 1 leaders Newsome were held to a 2-2 draw by Diggle. Adam Hill scored at goal in each half for Newsome and Scott Attersall scored both for Diggle.
Fothergill and Whittles leapfrogged over Dalton Dynamos into third place with a 6-1 win with goals from Liam Howcroft (three), Josh Crook, Lewis Holden and Owen Longley. Carlton Bulmer (three), Adam Squire (two) and Nathan Eastwood (two) scored for Heywood Irish Centre in their 7-0 win away at Netherton.
AFC Lindley moved up to second place in division 2 with a 5-1 win away at Britannia Sports A, with Connor Steele scoring the consolation for Britannia.
James Earnshaw scored four as Cumberworth moved up to third in a 5-0 win over Meltham Athletic with David Dunn scoring the other goal.
Holmbridge had a narrow 4-3 win over neighbours Holme Valley Academicals with goals from Gareth Myers, James Phillips, Jordan Heath and Simon Walsh. Adam McKie (two) and Jack Pickford scored for the Accies.
Scissett went nap against Almondbury Woolpack winning 10-1 with goals from Lewis Haigh (four), Jahmal Lewis (two), Joe Day, Callum Geldart (two) and Jordan Haigh. Shervan Kershaw scored the consolation goal for the Woolpack.
Cumberworth A moved up to third place in division 3 hammering bottom club Wooldale Wanderers 12-0 with goals from Isaac Baker (three), Taylor Hartley, Anthony Higham, Robert Flockton, Joshua Hollings (four), James Hartley and George Haigh.
A Raymond Chingombe goal was not enough as second placed Berry Brow A lost 2-1 to Hade Edge whose goals were scored by Isaac Sturgess and Jake Marshall. Division 3 leaders Slaithwaite United beat Skelmanthorpe 6-1 with goals from Ben Boulton, Josh Moore (two), James North (two) and Liam O’Brien.
In division 4 bottom club West End Park Development lost 3-1 at Berry Brow B whose goals were scored by Adam Fell (two) and Daniel Ryan. Lyndon Wells scored for West End Park.
Fothergill and Whittles A move up to third following a rare 0-0 draw with Brook Motors Development.
An Alec Jakeman goal was not enough as Honley lost 2-1 to Cumberworth B whose goals were scored by Leroy Simpson and Ronan Greenwood.
Kirkheaton Rovers stay fourth following a 6-1 win over Hade Edge A with goals from Steven Mitchell, Dean Cudjoe, Stuart Rose, Jack Storrie, Richard Walley and Shaun Smith. Daniel Holmes scored for Hade Edge.
