Primary school children can kick start their Christmas holidays with a range of activities delivered by the Huddersfield Town Foundation.
The week leading up to Christmas will see the foundation deliver three separate ‘camps’, two at Leeds Road Sports Complex and the other at the DRAM Community Centre in Dalton.
Starting on Monday December 20 and finishing on Wednesday December 22, one of the Leeds Road offers will be purely football. Players will train with the foundation’s FA qualified coaches, learning new skills and tactics and playing small-sided games.
Children wanting something slightly different can head to the DRAM Centre on the same dates for a mixture of arts and crafts and multi-sports. The arts and crafts will take a festive theme, like designing and making Christmas decorations. Sports on offer will include football, dodgeball and sports day style games.
Each day on both programmes will start at 9.30am and finish at 3pm, with no early drop off or late pick up available. Registration will commence at 9.15am.
The Leeds Road football offer is priced at £40 for the three days of activity, whilst the DRAM Centre camp is free of charge to those on free school meals.
