Huddersfield-based PR and marketing agency KC Communications has agreed a 12-month pro bono contract with award-winning community organisation Conscious Youth CIC.
KC Communications, which was founded in 2014 by Huddersfield businesswoman Katrina Cliffe, has a roster of clients across a range of sectors including manufacturing, property, health tech and travel including Bramleys, Heald, Mindwave Ventures, Specialist Glass Products, AYRE Event Solutions and Yorkshire & Humber Academic Health Science Network.
KC Communications previously donated £1,000 to the organisation made up of funding from 2019’s Huddersfield Business Week and match funding from the agency to support Conscious Youth’s work in the local community, and have since formed a great working relationship with the social enterprise.
In light of the past 12 months and the success KC Communications has seen within the industry, managing director Katrina Cliffe wanted to support a local organisation achieve their business goals in 2021. Conscious Youth stood out as the perfect match for KC Communications due to their outstanding work in the community and their ambitious plans for growth in 2021.

Conscious Youth CIC was set up in 2016 in response to council cuts and the closure of youth provisions and services within Kirklees. Their work is developed through consultation activities with young people starting with their skills, passions, interests and concerns.
KC Communications will be offering their services free of charge to Conscious Youth including marketing, PR and social media across the next 12 months.
Commenting on the new partnership, Katrina said: “We’ve developed a great working relationship with the team at Conscious Youth and the team is really excited to be supporting them with their marketing, PR and social media for the next 12 months.
“The organisation offers so many amazing opportunities for the youth in the local community but with lack of resources internally, they’ve not been able to promote their achievements over the past 12 months which in turn supports them to obtain further funding to reach more young people. We’ll be aiming to grow their brand reputation not only locally but on a national level too.”
