With the 2023 season now well underway, the Huddersfield Giants Supporters’ Association committee have been busy working away too on various bits and pieces visible and non-visible.
As most of you will now hopefully be aware, the Legends bar has reverted to a members-only bar on first team match days as requested by many of our members at the end of last year.
This has so far been a resounding success. Our membership numbers have doubled, and our membership levels are now back up to pre-Covid 19 levels and looking like surpassing that over the summer.
The bar is open to all members from two hours before the kick off and features the popular ‘Brian Blacker Roadshow.’ Brian interviews a different non-playing member of the squad in his own unique and humorous way.
Our memberships are still just £5 per year and help raise vital funds for the Giants academy and scholarship programmes. Various perks come with the membership, details of what we do and links to our other stuff can be found here https://linktr.ee/h.g.s.a
We are pleased to announce that the extremely popular Giants Twenty20 cricket family fun day is returning for 2023 after several Covid-hit years.
This year’s event is back at Honley Cricket Club on Sunday July 16. We are still finalising details but please make sure to #savethedate and join us and the Giants for a great day of fun and – hopefully – sun!
A reminder that we have our guest speakers evenings at Laund Hill every second Wednesday of the month. All the details can be found on our social media channels.
Our next guest is on June 10 and we welcome Michael Lawrence, a Giants legend who moved to Bradford over the winter. These events are free for HGSA members and only £1 for non-members so please come along and see and hear ‘Bruno.’
