The 2024-25 Huddersfield District League season kicked off with two rounds of midweek fixtures followed by the first Saturday matches.

Premier Division newcomers Honley lead the division following a 2-2 draw with fellow newcomers Moorside. Adam Dyson and Ben Lindley scored for Honley.

Matthew Henighan scored twice for Britannia Sports in their 3-2 win over Newsome with Louis Forbes also on the scoresheet. Dean Wharam and Eddie Hemingway scored for Newsome.

Kirkheaton Rovers beat Diggle 3-2 with goals from James Boyle, Oliver Martin and Nathan Goddard with Mitchell Bryden and Alex Winstanley scoring for Diggle.

Shepley had Scott Sykes (two) and Jaylen McKenzie on the scoresheet in their 3-2 win over Deighton. Ryan Burchael, Harry Prosser, Michael Carter, Joel Denton and Nathan Chappell scored for Netherton in their 5-3 win over Holmbridge. Billy Fisher, Charlie Allen and Sean Hazelden scored for Holmbridge.

Wooldale Wanderers lead Division 1 following their 3-1 win over Deighton Reserves with goals from Ryan Smith, Jack Firth and Adam Summerscales.

Connor Steele, Kieron Mayall (two), Lewis Jones, Luca Everson, Nathan Mayall and Seth Quesne scored for Grange Moor Saints in their 7-1 win at Kirkburton with Lewis Hanson scoring for Burton.

Chris Blakely hit a hat-trick as Linthwaite Athletic Reserves beat Holme Valley Academicals 3-2 with Richie Eales and Ope Arowolo scoring for the Accies. Lewis Pearson scored for AFC Volunteers in their 1-0 win at Meltham Athletic.

Holmbridge Reserves top Division 2 following their 4-1 at new boys St Columba’s with a goal from Felix Beaumont and a Thomas Bull hat-trick.

Heywood Irish Centre beat Britannia Sports Reserves 8-3 with goals from Ritchie Evans (four), Reece Julien (two), Adam Squire and Cameron Taylor. Britannia’s goals came from Nick Spurr, Dominic James and Noah Harris.

Nick Reaks (two) and Thomas Hardcastle scored as Huddersfield Laund Hill beat Hade Edge 3-1 with Andrew Daisey scoring for Hade Edge.

Anbua Kator hit four as Berry Brow A beat Brighouse Athletic 7-1 with further goals from Stephen Njenga (two) and Luke McLaughlin with Kieran Sullivan scoring for Brighouse.

Allerton top Division 3 following their 2-1 win over Linthwaite Athletic A. Sam Dawson (two) and Joe Lockwood scored for Mount in their 3-3 draw with Skelmanthorpe Reserves. Goals for Shat came from Dan Hart, Jack Haigh and Adam Taylor.

Kirkheaton Rovers Reserves beat Cumberworth Reserves 4-1 with goals from James McDonagh (two), Mackenzie Dillon and Josh McAllister.

Dylan Letremy (two) and Danny Wright scored for AFC Lindley in their 3-1 win at Wooldale Wanderers Reserves. Ryan Patterson hit four for Slaithwaite United in their 7-2 win over Berry Brow B with further goals from Adam Bower (two) and Joshua Roberts. Ethan Dennis and Ryan Walton scored for Berry Brow.

Honley Reserves lead Division 4 following their 4-1 win over Diggle Reserves. Honley’s goals were scored by Connor Blackmore (two), Callum Aspland and Michael Roebuck with Chris Philpot scoring for Diggle.

Danny Simpson scored twice for Skelmanthorpe A in their 3-2 loss to Scissett Reserves whose scorers were Samuel Grimes (two) and Joe Penrose.

Luke Garner (two) and Jordan Akeroyd scored for St Columba’s Reserves in their 3-3 draw with Netherton A. Scorers for Netherton were Miles Kingston (two) and Andrew McCullie. Emick Katika (two), Alan Nicholls (two) and Tyrell Omelia scored as Deighton A beat Grange Moor Saints Reserves 5-3.

Jacob Tatlock scored a hat-trick as Brook Motors beat Almondbury Woolpack Reserves 5-3 with Richard Denton and Jacob Bojczuk completing the scoring for Brooks. David Ginty, Reece Nyland and Callum Palmer scored for the Woolpack.

In Division 5 newcomers Savile United jointly lead with Hade Edge Development after three games. Savile United beat Fothergill & Whittles 4-3 with goals from Muhammed Faruki, Isan Safeer, Kayden Mahmood and Eesaa Gokalia. Sam Holt, Ben Jorgensen and Max Johnson scored for Fothergill.

Robert Barker, Jolyon Armitage, Dan Baker and Lewis Boyle scored for Hade Edge Development in their 4-3 win over Fenton United. Kim Khalaf (two) and Zain Sarfraz scored for Fenton.

New club Mount Pleasant beat Slaithwaite United Reserves 4-1 with goals from Adil Kamal, Muhammed Patel, Umayr Bham and Adam Motala. Isaac Brown scored for Slawit.

Newcomers East Bowling made their first trip to Cumberworth A worthwhile with a 4-2 win. Scorers for East Bowling were Aron Heywood Senior (two), Dylan Stranney and Gerald Hendron with Jordan Cadwallader and Mark Palmer for Cumberworth.

Ryan Lach and Sam McDermott scored as Britannia Sports A beat neighbours Mount Reserves 3-1 with Connor Hughes scoring for Mount.
