Jacob Waterson scored twice as Linthwaite Athletic hit Cowling for six in a West Riding County FA Challenge Cup tie.
Cowling from the Skipton & Craven Football League Premier Division were originally due to host the tie but it was switched to the Colne Valley at the insistence of the County FA.
Linthwaite raced into an early 3-0 lead with goals from Connor Beaumont, Nathan Wadsworth and Jake Morley.
It didn’t get any easier for Cowling as the game progressed and further goals from Jacob Waterson (two) and substitute Max Morley made it 6-0 at the final whistle.
Berry Brow travelled to Tadcaster to play Tadcaster Magnets from the York Minster Football League Premier Division and comfortably won 4-1 with goals from Kyle Walton (two), Daniel Facey and Niall Dobson.
Berry Brow have been drawn away to play Ealandians from the Yorkshire Amateur League Supreme Division in the last 16.
Linthwaite have landed a home tie against Beeston St Anthony’s from the West Yorkshire Football League Premier Division. Both ties are scheduled to be played on January 6 2024.
Once again, the awful weather played havoc with the League programme. In Division 2 the top two sides, Berry Brow and AFC Volunteers, played on the 3G pitch at Leeds Road Playing fields.
The game ended in a 1-1 draw with Rhys Wharam scoring for the Brow and Sam Durkin scoring for the Vols.
Jonathan Newiss scored both as Meltham Athletic beat Dalton Hotel Reserves 2-0 to move up to third place. Ryan Burchael scored for Netherton Reserves in their 2-1 loss to Linthwaite Athletic Reserves.
In Division 3 Slaithwaite United Reserves moved up to second place after their 3-0 win at Mount with goals from Dominik Moorhouse and Ryan Patterson (two).
Sahil Mahmood scored four as Allerton hammered Fenton United 13-1 to move up to third place in Division 5.
Skelmanthorpe A move up to fourth place following their 5-0 win over neighbours Cumberworth A with goals from Danny Simpson (two), George Haigh (two) and Jack Smith.
Deighton A maintained their 12-point lead at the top of the table winning their 12th league game in a row. Amari David, Mario Richards, Leevan Brown, Simon Douglas and Dominic McDonald-Webster scored for Deighton in their 5-2 win over Mount Reserves. Michael Firth and Cameron Carter scored for Mount.
