Thousands of people flocked to Honley Show on Saturday but the blustery conditions – and the odd shower – didn’t detract from the fun.
At one point a heavy shower had people making a dash for the pig tent – but the supreme champion pig just slept on, oblivious to the invasion and dog tired after the judging.
The show returned to Farnley Tyas showground after several years away and the event was hailed a big success.
Show spokesman Julia Brown said: “It was a great show with good attendance. Early feedback from public, competitors and traders is overwhelmingly positive. The volunteers delivered their usual high standard of show despite windy conditions.”
