A village is hosting a garden trail this weekend when 22 gardens will be open to the public.
The Hopton in Bloom Garden Trail will be held at Upper Hopton near Mirfield this Saturday (July 1) from 10am until 4pm.
It’s organised by a small group of volunteers who meet every week to garden and help improve the village’s look and the garden trail is a way of funding its projects.
The village won five Yorkshire in Bloom gold awards between 2012 and 2017, a silver gilt award in 2018 and a Britain in Bloom silver gilt in 2014.
Entrance to the garden trail is just £5 per person and children are free.
Refreshments will be served in Croft House Community Centre on Jackroyd Lane until 3pm and also in some participating gardens.
Wristbands are required to gain entry to the garden trail and these are on sale all day at Croft House Community Centre.
Programmes are free.
