Golcar Cricket Club is hosting its popular Bands on a Trailer event on Sunday August 28 to raise money for various club projects including the £50,000 refurbishment of its clubhouse.
The annual event, held at the club’s Swallow Lane ground, will see a host of live bands on stage.
There will be plenty of food and drink options too from a hog roast to a bake stall. And there’ll be the biggest beer garden anywhere in the village!
Performers include Rainey Street Band, Keegan & Harrison, Millie Smith and Vital Signs. The music boots up at 4pm and the event finishes at 10pm.
Event organiser and Golcar CC player Steve Whitwam said: “It is the eighth time we have run this event and it’s just got bigger every time. It is a great event and we are just hoping for good weather on the day.
“The bands we have on are great and there is lots to do for all the family. All the money raised goes back into the club and helps us with a lot of things including the refurbishment of the clubhouse.
“We are hoping once it is fully completed more people will spend time down here during the week. The club is in a good place at the moment but hopefully through events like this we can make it even stronger.”
