If you think you have the cutest pet in Huddersfield then now is the time to prove it.
The RSPCA Halifax, Huddersfield, Bradford & District Branch’s annual pet photo competition is now underway with people urged to send in their best pet pics … and one of the early ones has been a pet cow.
The photos are judged on their cuteness and all-round best image and the digital competition can be entered via the charity’s website or by email. Entries cost just £2 and there are categories for cats, dogs and all other pets – meaning anyone can enter.
RSPCA Halifax, Huddersfield, Bradford & District fundraising manager Lauren Moore said: “We love to start the year off with our annual photo competition.
“It’s a great way of showing how much our animal companions mean to us and we’ve had some fantastic entries so far, including a pet cow which brought a big smile to our faces.
“We’ll be looking for sharp and non-blurry images, lovely backgrounds and happy pets so pick up your phone and get snapping.”
The competition is split into three categories – cats, dogs and other pets. The judges will award first, second and third place rosettes in each category and each category winner will also get a £30 Pets At Home gift voucher.
The competition closes on Sunday, January 21 with winners announced on Tuesday, January 23.
All the funds raised from this competition will directly support the self-funded RSPCA Centre on Wade Street, Halifax, helping the charity to heal, rehabilitate and find loving homes for the animals in their care.
