Eight-year-old boy writes a book about his favourite food – pizza – to help Ukrainian war effort

One of the youngest members of Huddersfield Ukrainian Club has written a book to help raise funds for the war relief effort.

Harley Fisher, eight, was thinking about what to do for World Book Day when he decided to write his own book.

‘Fungi Fisher’s Pizza Pals’ follows main character Fungi Fisher in his pizza place, and his friends, as they discover tasty food.

An exciting launch party will take place at the Ukrainian Club in Edgerton on Sunday July 3 (3pm-5pm). There’ll be over two hours of fun family activities including live music from the club’s very own Jazz Jam Sessions, sweet treats and more. Parking is free.

Fitting in with the book theme, ‘Tin Box Pizza’ will be hosting the tasty ‘buy and make your own pizza’ sessions.

The book will be available to purchase at the event, with subsequent e-copies sold on the ‘Ooni Pizza Oven’ website.
