Huddersfield Town Women are through to the Sheffield and Hallamshire County Cup semi-final as they beat Handsworth 8-0 at the weekend.
Despite being away the Terriers dominated a fixture in which five different Town players got onto the scoresheet. The victory keeps Town’s hopes alive of winning this competition once more, a cup they have had a tight grip on over the last few years winning it three times out of the last four years.
Scorers on the day were Britt Sanderson (2), Laura Hulme (2), Serena Fletcher, Yasmin Mason and Hannah Langford. The other was an own goal.
As well as the County Cup the Terriers are still in the FA National Women’s League Cup where they will face Wolves in the quarter-finals. If they beat Wolves they will face either Watford or MK Dons.
