Getting the best start is often down to preparation and the right opportunities!
Parkwood Beavers in Huddersfield are having an open morning to discover more about Beavers and what Scouting is for six to eight-year-olds.
Looking for a sense of excitement every week? Is your son or daughter ready to try something new, learn new skills and meet a whole new group of friends?
Each week we help young people enjoy fun and adventure while developing skills for life. Why not be one of them?
On Saturday March 25 between 9.30am and 12.30pm, we have a taster event to experience the fun, adventure and challenges that Beaver Scouts get to discover every week.
Why Beavers? Beaver Scouts are one of the early sections of the Scouting family. Scouting, through Cubs, Scouts and Explorer Scouts provides great skills for life, which help young people get the most out of their opportunities.
So, getting involved early with Beavers is a great way to start gaining new skills, build friendships, enable confidence and create young people we are proud of.
Scouting is a volunteer-led organisation and, whilst our volunteers are awesome, they are everyday people like you. Working in leadership teams they collectively make some great experiences happen for young people.
We are always looking for more support. As they say, many hands make light work!
If you want to discover more about Beavers and Scouting, pop along to the 39th Huddersfield headquarters at 53 Thornhill Road, Longwood, Huddersfield, HD3 4UL on Saturday March 25.
