The new look Huddersfield District League kicked off last weekend with the first set of Saturday games of the season.
In the Premier Division Dalton Hotel shared the points with Britannia Sports in a 4-4 draw. Kirkheaton Rovers beat AFC Lindley 4-0 and Shepley lost at home to Deighton 6-2.
Kyle Walton scored four against former club Newsome in Berry Brow’s 9-1 win. Jake Morley hit a hat-trick in Linthwaite Athletics’ 4-0 win over neighbours Slaithwaite United.
After three games defending champions Berry Brow along with Deighton and Linthwaite Athletic have made the perfect start with three wins out of three while AFC Lindley and Slaithwaite United have lost all three.
Honley lead Division 1 with a maximum nine points after their 6-2 win over Lepton Highlanders in which Ben Lindley scored four.
Diggle beat Almondbury Woolpack 3-1 and Fothergill and Whittles lost at home to Moorside 3-1. Scissett lost at home to Saddleworth United 3-2 and Huddersfield Laund Hill beat Holme Valley Academicals 4-0.
AFC Volunteers comfortably beat Cumberworth 6-1 to go joint top of Division 2. Berry Brow Reserves joined them with a 4-1 win over Linthwaite Athletic Reserves.
Also with maximum points is Meltham Athletic following their 4-1 win over Dalton Hotel Reserves. Brighouse Athletic drew 3-3 with Netherton Reserves and Deighton Reserves drew 2-2 with Grange Moor Saints.
Wooldale Wanderers hosted Newsome Reserves and lost 5-2. Dwayne Wilkinson and Brenton Williams scored a brace apiece for Newsome.
Slaithwaite United Reserves top Division 3 with a 100% record following their 3-0 win over Skelmanthorpe Reserves. Holmbridge Reserves are two points behind in second place after their 3-1 win at Mount.
Meltham Athletic Reserves lost 3-2 at home to Heywood Irish Centre and Anuba Kator scored twice as Berry Brow A beat AFC Lindley Reserves 2-1. Andrew Daisey and Cameron Young both scored hat-tricks as Hade Edge beat Britannia Sports Reserves 6-2.
Daniel Garton scored the goal for Berry Brow B in their 1-0 win over Holme Valley Academicals Reserves.
Kirkheaton Rovers Reserves beat Cumberworth Reserves 2-0 and Wooldale Wanderers Reserves won 4-3 away at Linthwaite Athletic A. Grange Moor Saints Reserves comfortably beat Scissett Reserves 5-0.
After three games Berry Brow B, Kirkheaton Rovers Reserves and Wooldale Wanderers Reserves are all top with maximum points.
Brook Motors went joint top of Division 5 after their 4-2 win over Mount Reserves. Deighton A joined them on maximum points following their 5-3 win over Fothergill and Whittles Reserves.
Skelmanthorpe A had a narrow 1-0 win over Honley Reserves. Almondbury Woolpack Reserves just edged Fenton United in a 4-3 thriller with a late winner from Tony Wales.
In the Sheffield County FA Challenge Cup Skelmanthorpe and Holmbridge were both dumped out at the first hurdle by Doncaster Football League Premier Division sides. Skelmanthorpe lost 5-0 to Denaby United and Holmbridge lost 5-1 to Bentley Village.
