Flying winger Amelia Brown has signed a landmark two-year contract with Huddersfield Giants Women.
The Giants are offering professional contracts to its women players for the first time and a two-year deal is a first for the club.
Amelia joined the Giants in 2021 making her debut against Warrington in the Women’s Challenge Cup. She has since scored 49 tries from just 33 top-flight appearances.
The 19-year-old was nominated for this year’s BWSL’s ‘Young Player of the Year’ award, following a stellar Women’s Super League campaign that saw her pick up hat-tricks against Leeds and Warrington.
This follows Amelia’s addition to the England Women’s National Performance Squad as well as signing a professional contract with the club, alongside Bethan Oates.
Amelia said: “I am delighted to sign a two-year contract and look forward to continuing my journey with Huddersfield Giants. I am really looking forward to what the next few years will hold and would like to thank all those who have helped me so far.”
