Almondbury Methodist Church Pantomime Group has reached a milestone of 50 years of fun-filled productions. Cinderella was the first ever show in 1973 and is a fitting production for 2024. ‘Oh, yes it is!’

The fun begins at the Wesley Centre, Almondbury Methodist Church on Thursday February 8 and continues on February 9, 10, 15, 16 and 17.

Performances are at 7.15pm each evening and 2.15pm for Saturday Matinees. Ticket prices belong more to bygone years at just £6 for adults and £4 for children.

Packed with song, dance, comedy and sparkle, Cinderella promises to be a spectacular show for the whole family.

Proceeds from the performance on Saturday evening, February 10, will be donated to Yorkshire Cancer Research, the charity supported by Almondbury Methodist Church Panto Group for 15 years.

The original cast from 50 years ago. Dave Nichols (back row, top left) has performed in every show!

Mike Crowther, show producer, said: “Almondbury Methodist Church Panto Group has been a much-loved tradition for five decades. Great teamwork is at the heart of all our shows.

“We are enormously proud of the enjoyment our shows create for the local community, and the funds we have raised for Yorkshire Cancer Research.”
