Almondbury Jazz Festival 2022 has hit the right note and raised £2,022 for Yorkshire Cancer Research.
Funds were raised from the sale of programmes, raffle tickets and donations from generous supporters.
The festival was organised by Almondbury Jazz Committee, supported by Yorkshire Cancer Research’s Huddersfield Volunteer Group.
Ten live bands performed at five Almondbury venues; All Hallows’ Church, Almondbury Conservative Club, The Woolpack, The Radcliffe Arms and Almondbury Liberal Club.
Alan Stanger, chairman of the Almondbury Jazz Committee, said: “It was a privilege hosting the Jazz Festival and raising money for Yorkshire Cancer Research. A special thank you to the talented musicians, staff and helpers in our venues and our wonderful customers for making the festival a resounding success.”
Jane Dutton, chairman of the Huddersfield Volunteer Group, said: “Yorkshire Cancer Research was delighted to be the nominated charity for Almondbury Jazz Festival 2022. The funds raised will help to fund pioneering research right here in Yorkshire.”
