App developers Pet Lifestyle Corporation (PLC) has begun working with Yorkshire marketing agency Paladin to launch its new mobile application for pet owners, Priority Pet.
Released this month, Priority Pet is the ultimate app for pet parents. It is a one stop shop for logging pet’s information, finding the best products and services that are specific to your pet’s breed and age and your location.
It uses platform-based technology to connect pet owners with the top-rated pet services allowing owners to make the best decisions for their budget and their pets. It puts them in direct contact via a chat function with pet professionals (human beings – not bots!) who search for trusted service providers on the owner’s behalf.
The power is in their algorithm which searches any online service provider, their ratings, rankings and reviews to create a quality score. The top three providers with the best scores are then recommended by the human pet pro to the pet owner.
It saves busy pet parents hours of time Googling, trawling through or reviews on social media, then contacting preferred providers and paying them – Priority Pet does all that with a few clicks.

Priority Pet is an agnostic platform business model and the only completely neutral pet service finder. They do not get paid by pet services they recommend. They are funded by a monthly user subscription.
“We established Priority Pet to disrupt the market and we are delighted to be working with Paladin on this project,” said Priority Pet founder and CEO, Jana van der Westhuizen. “Our vision is to be the world’s leading, most trusted connector of pet owners and pet service providers.
“Our algorithm allows us to aggregate all the reviews and ratings of any online pet service provider anywhere in the world. We rationalise that by what the user tells us about their pet: breed, age, weight, etc as well as their own information: location and budget, to provide the most accurate and trusted recommendations.”
Alisdair Straughan, MD at Paladin, said: “We are delighted to be working with Jana and PLC on the launch of Priority Pet. Since the first phone call with Jana we were on board with her vision and ambition.
“There has been an explosion in pet ownership in the past 18 months and Priority Pet brings something new and innovative to a growing market.”
