Lu’s Fest at Lu’s Place in Meltham went with a bang – and a whizz – on bonfire weekend as this brilliant gallery of images from Mark Flynn shows.
The sell-out event took place in a giant marquee with former M People star Heather Small, local singer-songwriter James Leslie and international saxophonist Ellie Sax on stage.
There were special appearances from Miss Magic, Kiki Horsefield and dancers from Hustle Entertainment. A spectacular firework display was provided by Optimum Fireworks.

The event proved a huge success and Dan Bamforth said all the hard work had been worth it to see how people enjoyed themselves.
Dan added: “A huge thank you to our amazing, hardworking team for helping bring my vision to life after six months of planning.
“We are proud to be putting Meltham on the map! Entertainment and catering for near 550 people is no small task.
“To the many corporate sponsors, clients and associates we could not run events like this without your support and generosity. A fantastic night was had by all. Roll on Lu’s Fest 2024!”
