The word is out! Huddersfield BID is excited to announce we’ll be hosting a Beer Festival in Huddersfield town centre in July.
Huddersfield Beer Week 2023, a celebration of real ale and the craft of beer-making, will be held from July 14-23 so make a date in your diary.
Planning is underway and we’re working with Beer Ink in Lindley to make sure the event is a big success for town centre businesses.
As we all know, the hospitality industry has seen unprecedented challenges over the last three years and for many those challenges continue to be acute.
Here at Huddersfield BID we want to do everything we can to support our pubs and restaurants and the wider hospitality industry.
As part of the festival we’ll have tap takeovers, BID-funded music nights, a prize beer trail and a feature magazine.
We’ve already got 20 local businesses signed up so if your business wants to take part please get in touch.
Huddersfield has a great beer-brewing industry and we want to help showcase the craft as well as promote licensed premises and, of course, the great range of food the town’s eateries offer too.
People from across Huddersfield and beyond love heading into the town centre for the likes of the Huddersfield Food & Drink Festival so we’re sure our beer festival will have hundreds of people coming out for a party – or two!
All that is coming in the middle of summer but next up is our ever-popular Easter Egg Hunt, which runs from April 3-17.
It’s a great event for families and involves finding 10 giant Easter eggs ‘hidden’ at 10 businesses in the town centre.
Everyone who completes the trail and finds all 10 eggs wins a free chocolate egg, courtesy of Huddersfield BID. Click HERE to find out all you need to know.
Huddersfield BID always wants to hear from levy-payers – those town centre businesses in the BID zone – and thanks to everyone who engages with us so that we can deliver what the town needs.
Our Annual Showcase Event is coming up at the end of April and this is where we update levy-payers on BID’s achievements over the last 12 months.
This year’s event is on Thursday April 27 (2pm-5pm) at Smile Bar in Wakefield Road, Aspley, just down from the University of Huddersfield. This event is for levy-payers only and we’ll be outlining our plans for 2023-24.
We have other events open to everyone and we’d also love to meet anyone with an interest in the town centre at our regular Meet the Huddersfield BID Team events.
We had one at Tommy’s Lounge last week and the next one is at Brew Dog on April 20 at 4pm. It would be great to see you and hear your thoughts. See you there!
