Students’ achievements were celebrated at North Huddersfield Trust School’s annual Prize-Giving Evening at Huddersfield Town Hall.

The event was attended by representatives from various local businesses and charitable organisations who form the school’s Board of Trustees.

North Huddersfield Trust School maintains a close working relationship with its Trust partners whose settings range from community, education, sporting foundations and companies with a global reach from the worlds of science and technology.

This provides opportunities for students to widen their horizons and benefit from high-quality education beyond the classroom.

Guest speaker was Mayor of Kirklees Clr Nosheen Dad, the first woman of colour and first Muslim woman to hold the role.

Throughout the event, on-stage performances were delivered by students and the wider community.

Students stood proud as they received awards watched by their parents, family, friends and school community.

A school spokesman said: “It was a wonderful get-together and the event has been a highlight of the academic year so far, for so many.

“North Huddersfield Trust School would like to say a huge thank you to the school’s Trust partners, sponsors and guest speaker. Without all of their support, this event would not have been possible.”
