The women’s football team at Greenhead College in Huddersfield has reached the AoC Sport National Championships for the first time in their history.
The team has qualified for the women’s 7-a-side football national finals to be held at Nottingham University in April 2025, where they will compete against the winners from all the other regions within England.
The regional competition was held at the University of Hull and was a closely fought competition throughout.
Greenhead beat 13 other colleges from the Yorkshire and Humber region to clinch qualification, including Wakefield College in the quarter-final, Wyke College in the semi-final and New College Pontefract in the final.
