Staff at Huddersfield Royal Infirmary found that a little ‘thank you’ goes a long way.
This week was the annual Colleague Appreciation Week at the Calderdale & Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust and there were one or two special visitors walking the corridors.
Huddersfield Giants ambassador Eorl Crabtree paid a visit as did volunteers from Pets as Therapy who brought their therapy dogs along.
As part of Appreciation Week staff were encouraged to send a ‘thank you’ message to colleagues and make their day.
Eorl said: “I think it’s always important to give something back. The importance of events like this are vital for hospital staff. They absolutely deserve it for all they do for the local community.”
