The spirit of BrockFest was back as Brockholes celebrated the return of its annual carnival with a party on the Rec.
Brockholes Carnival returned on Saturday after a nine-year absence thanks to sponsorship from components firm Accu.
Accu is in the process of moving from Honley to the former Brook Motors site, building a new £1 million HQ and warehouse in the village.
The company supplies around 50% of the world’s top 100 manufacturers and the move could create up to 200 new jobs.
Accu wants to be at the heart of the local community and co-founder and CEO Martin Ackroyd (above) said: “The Brockholes Carnival was always an important date in the community calendar and we’re delighted to revive it.”
Hundreds of people partied through the afternoon and into the evening. Were you captured on camera by Huddersfield Hub photographer SEAN DOYLE?
