Zapato Brewing hosts third ‘ridiculously funny’ comedy night at The Civic in Slaithwaite

After two sell-out comedy nights last year, Zapato Brewing is bringing the laughs back for a third time with Comedy + Beers at The Civic in Slaithwaite.

The event, in partnership with the renowned Nodding Dog Comedy, takes place on Saturday March 7 and combines top-quality professional stand-up with excellent beers.

The beers will be flowing from 6.30pm, with the comedy kicking off at 7.45pm.

Alice Gorecki, organising the event for Zapato Brewing, said: “We are so excited about our next Comedy + Beer Night at The Civic.

“It’s such a vibe to breathe some fresh life into this fantastic local community venue, and to create a real buzz right here in the Colne Valley.

“There’ll be excellent beer, four top class stand-up acts from the circuit, plenty of belly laughs, and big beer raffle.

“A word of warning, though, this is not for the easily shocked. It gets a bit risqué at times, it’s pretty savage – and we can’t wait!”

Returning as host is the outrageous, fabulous and effortlessly funny Jonathan Mayor, one of the UK comedy circuit’s most celebrated comperes.

Known for his razor-sharp improv, high-octane sass and ability to tame even the rowdiest crowds, Mayor brings instant energy to the room. As Jason Manford puts it: “Hilarious. Charmingly vicious.”

Headlining the night is Christian Reilly, whose unique mix of comedy and music has earned him acclaim across the UK.

A regular on the comedy circuit, Reilly blends smart observations with blisteringly funny songs, drawing comparisons to Bill Bailey and Rich Hall. “If you’re a fan of Bill Bailey or Rich Hall, you’re probably a fan already,” says The Guardian.

Also appearing are two outstanding supporting acts: Seeta Wrightson, a writer, stand-up comedian and voice actor from Bradford and Mike Newall, a charming, laid-back comedian delivering sharp observational comedy with dry wit and immaculate timing.
