A recruitment firm has bagfuls of enthusiasm as it helps one of the nation’s biggest snack brands fill its vacancies as part of ongoing growth for both firms.

Sky Recruitment Solutions Huddersfield has been helping Seabrook Crisps to source staff since late last year – and more jobs with the snack giant are up for grabs.

So far, the award-winning firm, which helps to recruit for industrial roles at all levels, has helped the 1945-founded company – established by Charles Brook and famous for its crinkle-cut crisps – to match more than 30 employees with positions within the company.

Shane Callaghan, regional business manager at Sky Recruitment Solutions, looked after Seabrook’s account in his previous employment.

As Bradford-based Seabrook, which has the slogan ‘Bags of Flavour, Made With Pride’,  were looking for a new company to source staff, they approached Shane and a new partnership was formed.

Shane said: “It’s an ongoing contract and we are proud to be associated with such a well-known household name which has withstood the test of time.

“Our team looking after Seabrook is doing a fantastic job and we are growing with them.”

Roles at Seabrook that Sky Recruitment Solutions has helped to fill include prep workers, machine operators, warehouse operatives, hygiene staff and yardworkers – with jobs constantly in the pipeline.

Sky Recruitment Solutions help out with everything from inductions to walk-arounds, and helping to ensure staff have the correct right to work documents.

The news of the partnership comes as Sky Recruitment Solutions, which already has three branches in West Yorkshire – in Huddersfield’s The Media Centre and Trident Business Park, as well as on-site in Elland’s Lowfields Way – looks to expand with a fourth regional office, based in Bradford.

In October 2018, Seabrook Crisps, which is famed for its crinkle cut crisps, and branched out to make straight cut crisps, loaded fries and kids’ snacks, was acquired by Calbee Inc., the leading snack brand in Japan, as part of its ambitious international growth plans.

Calbee is one of the largest snack companies in the world, with more than 3,800 employees across 12 different countries, making Calbee Group UK part of a £2.3 billion global business.
