Elland Silver Band is hosting its Summer Spectacular Concert at Huddersfield Town Hall on Sunday July 12 (2.30pm-5pm).
The concert features performances from six bands from across the Elland Silver Band organisation directed by Dave McGlynn, Samantha Harrison, Naomi Hill and Lauren Rosborough.
Audiences can expect a varied programme showcasing the energy, passion and versatility of brass band music.
Musicians range from the age of seven through to 85 proving that brass band music is for everyone.
A special highlight of this year’s concert will be a brand-new addition to the event — a performance from children involved in Elland Silver Band’s outreach partnerships with Cross Lane Primary School and Old Earth Primary School.
The young musicians will take to the stage to showcase their achievements and perform two items arranged and composed by their specialist tutor Naomi Hill.
The Summer Spectacular forms part of Elland Silver Band’s ongoing commitment to inspiring the next generation of musicians, supporting young people through music education and providing opportunities to perform in prestigious venues.
Sam Harrison from Elland Silver Band said: “We are incredibly excited for this year’s Summer Spectacular.
“Bringing together six bands from across our organisation shows the incredible community and family spirit at the heart of Elland Silver Band.”
The concert will run from 2.30pm until 5pm, with doors opening at 1.45pm. Tickets are £13 each and can be purchased online from Huddersfield Town Hall Box Office.
