Lindley 2026 Calendar celebrates a community through the years

The popular Lindley 2026 Calendar is now on sale at Lindley Library.

The Lindley area covers Birchencliffe, Birkby, Lindley, Mount, Oakes, Outlane and Salendine Nook and the limited edition calendar brings together a striking blend of old and new photographs showcasing the landmarks, heritage and community spirit that unite these neighbourhoods.

Clr Cahal Burke, chair of Lindley Community Group, said: “This year’s calendar is a wonderful celebration of our community.

“The new photographs show how Lindley continues to grow and flourish, while the historic images allow us to reflect on our shared past and the generations who shaped our area.

“Together, they tell a story of a community with strong roots and a vibrant future, supported by volunteers who give so much to make Lindley a great place to live.”

Clr Anthony Smith said: “This is a lovely project that brings the area’s history and community spirit to life.

“I’d encourage residents to pick up a copy while they’re available and support the excellent work of the Lindley Community Group.”

Clr Ashleigh Robinson added: “The volunteers behind the group give so much to our community, and this is a simple way for residents to show their appreciation.
