Irish eyes were smiling as Huddersfield enjoyed the craic at the St Patrick’s Day Parade

Huddersfield came out to celebrate all things Irish for the town’s annual St Patrick’s Day Parade on Sunday.

Guinness, ice cream, lucky clover, leprechauns and painted faces were the order of the day as Huddersfield people young and old thronged into town to enjoy the craic and raise a glass with the Irish community.

Flags were flapping in the stiff breeze and pipers piped the parade into the town’s open market where there was song, dance, music and merriment, all with an unmistakable Irish flavour.

Huddersfield Hub’s SEAN DOYLE was official photographer for the event and here’s the pick of his pics.
