Local people will have the chance to question health trust leaders about patient care, hospital changes and the future of services in the town.
Calderdale & Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust is holding its annual members’ meeting on Thursday September 10, at the Acre Mills Outpatients building in Lindley.
The meeting is open to the public as well as trust members and staff.
It will include an update on the trust’s finances and a look at quality of care and patients’ experiences.
Trust leaders will also discuss recent reviews by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), including areas where services have performed well, improvements already made and where further work may be needed.
There will also be an update on the trust’s long-term Foundations for its Future programme, which will reshape hospital and community services across Calderdale and Huddersfield.
The trust says the plans are intended to provide more care closer to people’s homes while changing the roles of Huddersfield Royal Infirmary and Calderdale Royal Hospital.

By 2029, both hospitals are due to have 24-hour consultant-led A&E departments. Planned hospital care will be centred in Huddersfield while Calderdale will become the main base for unplanned acute care.
Visitors will be able to find out more about the changes before the meeting.
From 2pm to 3pm, staff from the Southgate Community Diagnostic Centre will be on hand to talk about the facility, which opened earlier this year.
The Huddersfield centre works alongside the existing diagnostic centre in Halifax and is intended to allow more patients to have tests and scans closer to home.
The annual members’ meeting runs from 3pm to 4.30pm in Rooms 3 and 4 on the top floor of Acre Mills Outpatients Department on Acre Street.
Anyone who wants to attend can book a place by emailing councilofgovernors@cht.nhs.uk or calling 01484 355933. Free parking will be available.
Questions can also be submitted in advance, with a deadline of Thursday September 3.
