Students, staff and families at Huddersfield Grammar School celebrated an impressive set of GCSE results.
This year’s outcomes highlight the hard work, determination and commitment students have demonstrated throughout their time at the school.

Overall, 44% of all grades achieved by the pupils across all subjects were grades 9-7 and 82% were grades 9-5, well above the national averages of 21.8% and 67.1% respectively.
Chloe, Sophia, Eve, Jake, Amelia, Charlie and Evie achieved 38 grade 9s between them, while Laiba, James, Holly, Louie, Millie and Sulaimaan achieved substantially above their expected grades overall thanks to their hard work.
The results have been commended by the school’s new permanent headteacher, Olivia Wareham, who led the school through this academic year in her capacity as acting headteacher after seven years as deputy head, having joined Huddersfield Grammar in 2012.
While all students should be congratulated for their achievements, some individuals accomplished particularly exceptional results, including:
Head students Sophia and Chloe said: “We are so grateful to HGS for their support. We’re overwhelmed with the results and just went ecstatic!”
Olivia Wareham, headteacher at Huddersfield Grammar School, said: “We are immensely proud of our pupils and the GCSE results they have achieved this year.
“These outcomes are a testament to the hard work, commitment and determination shown by our students, supported every step of the way by the dedication and expertise of our teaching staff.
“Today, we celebrate every pupil and recognise that success takes many forms. While we are delighted by the outstanding achievements of those attaining the highest grades, we are equally proud of the pupils who have demonstrated resilience, individuality and self-belief in overcoming challenges and making progress on their individual journeys.
“These qualities embody the true Huddersfield Grammar School identity and values. Each pupil should be proud of what they have accomplished and the contribution they have made to our school community.
“As they move on to the next stage of their education and future careers, we wish them every success and happiness in the years ahead.
“We look forward to hearing about their achievements and following their journeys long after they leave HGS.”
