A live music event in Huddersfield will raise money to help the victims of the conflict in Gaza.
Three organisations are joining forces to play an afternoon of Blues for Palestine, a special fundraising event in support of Medical Aid for Palestinians.
They are Love Music Hate Racism, Huddersfield Blues Club and Sunday Blues Train with the gig at Amped on Zetland Street in Huddersfield town centre on Sunday, December 14 from 1pm to 7pm.
Headlining is the award-winning Kyla Brox Blues Train fronted by powerhouse vocalist Kyla Brox, hailed as “Manchester’s answer to Aretha Franklin” by Factory Records’ Tony Wilson.
Kyla, winner of both the European Blues Challenge and UK Blues Challenge, is renowned for her mix of soul and blues-rock.
Her father, Victor Brox, sadly passed last year and was also a blues legend and an original Rock Against Racism artist.
Also taking the stage will be The Pat Fulgoni Blues Experience (pictured) whose debut album hit number 3 on the UK Blues Airplay Chart, earning a UK Blues Awards nomination.
Frontman Pat, known for his powerful vocal delivery and eclectic musical collaborations, will be joined by Jacob Beckwith (guitar), Rory Wells (bass), Sam Bolt (keys) and Zebedee Sylvester (drums).
The line-up also features blues and jazz veterans Memphis D & Steve Augarde, bringing a mellow acoustic blend of guitar, sax and classic blues and Spencer Grant, sometimes of local band The Valleys performing a solo set of Delta Blues tunes.
Adding a creative twist, Fresh Kids will deliver live art throughout the afternoon.
The event is for those aged at least 14 and under-18s must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
