Huddersfield Business Improvement District (BID) is once again hosting their Easter Egg Hunt around Huddersfield town centre between March 23 and 30.

The return of the popular trail will provide a free and fun activity for families to enjoy this Easter – with prizes available for those who manage to find each of the 10 giant eggs. It also helps to bring more people into the town centre to support local businesses.

Participants are invited to find 10 big brightly coloured eggs, hidden in businesses across the town centre during the first week of the Easter holidays.

Levy payers supporting this year’s event include A Sweet Affair, British Heart Foundation, Gemini Games, Handmade In Huddersfield, Hays Travel, KAL, Pritchard’s butchers, The Entertainer, Trespass and Utilita.

For those little ones who manage to find them all, there are some some egg-cellent prizes! Everyone who finds all 10 eggs through the app will win an easter egg which can be collected from BID’s Hello Huddersfield shop on Market Avenue upon completion.

Sam Sharp, Huddersfield BID manager, said: “We’re delighted to announce the return of the Huddersfield Easter Egg Hunt following some fabulous feedback last year.

“We hope that lots of families take part again this year. As they journey around the town centre, they will spot the brightly coloured giant eggs hidden in shops and places to visit around the town. Don’t forget to collect your prize once you’ve spotted all of them!

“Huddersfield BID run a number of interactive trails and events throughout the year to encourage footfall into the town centre and encourage shoppers to visit stores they might not have been in yet.”
