Grace is 103 and is knitting small woolly hats – but she needs your help.

The centenarian is knitting non-stop to raise money for Age UK Calderdale and Kirklees – but more knitters are needed.

Age UK has teamed up with Innocent smoothies to put woolly hats on bottles as part of the Innocent Big Knit.

For every bottle (with a hat) sold, 25p will be donated a local Age UK, helping combat loneliness in older people.

A spokesman for Age UK Calderdale and Kirklees appealed for help and said: “Now more than ever we need people’s support to help older people return back to a normal life after the pandemic.

Hats off to the Innocent Big Knit

“If you’re a knitter, or are in a local knitting group, please let us know if you can help! We can collect the hats from you or you can drop them off at our shop in Halifax.”
