Gledholt Male Voice Choir’s concert is a big fundraiser for children’s hospice

An annual fundraising concert has raised £1,400 for the Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice in Huddersfield.

Gledholt Male Voice Choir and Linthwaite-based musician Mason Whittle performed to a virtually sold out Scapegoat Hill Baptist Church.

The choir was conducted by their musical director James Morgan and accompanied by Jane Robertson. The compere was Steve Daniel.

The choir’s repertoire was wide ranging and included male voice favourites and classic pop numbers such as Bohemian Rhapsody and Bridge Over Troubled Water. The audience was invited to sing along to some songs such as Sweet Caroline and The White Cliffs Of Dover.

Mason sang numbers close to his heart including Tears in Heaven, God Only Knows and Morning Has Broken.

The event was sponsored by Huddersfield-based Boultons estate agents and surveyors.
