Singing group Far Cry Acapella are teaming up with award-winning beat boxer and rapper Testament for an afternoon of music at the North of England Centre for Music & the Arts at Tunnel End, Marsden, on Sunday July 12 at 4pm.
Far Cry Acapella presents songs from the heart and soul for this special summer concert – ‘One Heart, Many Beats’ – celebrating 10 years since its formation.
The group will be joined on stage by Testament who has been collaborating with Far Cry during 2026.
Far Cry is a Huddersfield-based mixed acapella group singing songs from a range of different cultures – all taught by ear and led by musical director Jenny Goodman.
The end result is a unique mix of great singing with stunning, unusual harmonies and impressive versatility.
Far Cry will be singing their usual eclectic mixture of songs – from folk songs and classic pop to laments from the Pacific Islands and rousing Luddite anthems – all in glorious harmony.

Jenny said: “When I started the group my aim was to have a dedicated group of singers, willing to work hard and create dynamic performances. I think we’ve more than succeeded with that!
“This concert represents all the different aspects of Far Cry over the past 10 years. We’ve got our top five favourite songs as well as songs from across the world, from different folk traditions and original songs too.
“And we’ve got the most special of special guests. Testament first saw us a few years ago and we’ve worked on two exciting projects with him this year.
“We will be performing some of his songs and he will be joining us on some of ours to add his creative magic.”
Testament is a British writer, rapper, composer and world record breaking beat boxer.
As a recording artist his credits include work alongside Grammy winner Corinne Bailey Rae, MOBO winner Soweto Kinch, Mercury Nominee Ty, and US Rap legend J-Live.
Testament said: “Working with Far Cry is brilliant. They bring a diverse range of musical and life experiences and turn it into one fantastic voice. I’m honoured to play with them!”
The concert will be raising money for Leeds Hospital Charity in honour of a former Far Cry member.
Tickets are £12 (standard), £14 (if you’re happy to pay more) or £6 (if you need to pay less.) There will be a bar and cafe available on the day.
There will also be a fundraising raffle with a range of prizes donated by businesses throughout the Colne Valley.
