Digital agency Splitpixel takes on Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge for The Welcome Centre food bank

The team at Huddersfield-based digital agency Splitpixel are getting their walking boots on to help raise vital funds for local people experiencing hardship.

The Splitpixel team will be raising funds for The Welcome Centre food bank in Huddersfield, which the company first partnered with in October 2024.

Alongside corporate donations, Splitpixel has provided website support, donated much-needed food items, and spent their volunteer days at the centre.

Now they’re going one step further – well, quite a few steps further actually – as some of the Splitpixel team are taking on the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge to raise funds for the charity.

On September 26 eight Splitpixel staff members – Ash, Seth, Jon, Charlie, Greg, Eleanor, Max and Sam – will be tackling 24 miles across Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough, with over 5,000 ft of climbing, all in under 12 hours.

They will be joined by Charlie Taylor, fundraising manager from The Welcome Centre, and aim to raise £3,000 for the charity.

Charlie Herke, Splitpixel co-founder and operations director, said: “It’s really important to us, not only to support The Welcome Centre food bank as a business partner, but to actively engage in raising funds for this much-needed local charity.

“I love being part of team activities, so I proposed the Yorkshire Three Peaks and luckily most of the team also enjoys a physical challenge!

“I’ll be keeping motivation up along the 24-mile route by reminding everyone why we’re doing it. We’re a pretty positive bunch, so hopefully that’ll see us through.”

The fundraising will help to support individuals and families in crisis across Huddersfield, with the money going towards emergency food, essential household items and support services.

The Splitpixel team and The Welcome Centre are thankful for any sponsorships, donations and support. Charlie added: “Any donations would be gratefully received, no matter how small.’’

The team understand that not everyone can afford to donate but every penny counts, and sharing their story and Just Giving page is a big help.
