Brockholes-based precision engineering component supplier Accu has appointed Dan Jack as chief executive officer.

Co-founder and outgoing CEO Martin Ackroyd moves into a newly-created chief digital officer role, remaining on the board of directors to drive the company’s digital and technology vision.

Dan joins from Trifast plc, a global designer, manufacturer and supplier of fastenings and components, where he served as chief commercial officer.

With nearly 25 years’ experience in the components industry, he has extensive expertise in international supply chain development and providing strategic leadership across global markets.

This includes extensive experience scaling businesses through international growth phases.

In his new role, Dan will oversee Accu’s operational, commercial and financial performance, reporting to the board.

He will focus on accelerating the company’s global expansion, with plans underway to grow Accu’s presence in the US, mainland Europe and Australasia.

A key priority will be building partnerships with component manufacturers worldwide to further extend Accu’s already extensive catalogue of over 500,000 components, backed by rapid delivery.

In his new role, Martin will focus on pioneering platforms that transform the way engineers source components, leveraging the latest technology and AI to deliver new tools and greater integration into customer workflows.
