Huddersfield Parish Church has several services lined up over Christmas with major ones livestreamed on YouTube.
The Midnight Mass service will be livestreamed on YouTube from the church on St Peter’s Street in Huddersfield town centre.
The service starts at 11.30pm with music from St Peter’s choir. The Christmas Day service at 10am will also be livestreamed on YouTube.
There will be a nativity at the church on Christmas Eve at 4pm.
Earlier in the run-up to Christmas there will be a candlelit carol service this Sunday, December 14 at 4pm.
The vicar of Huddersfield, the Rev Canon Rachel Firth said: “This service will feature beautiful music, the story of Christmas, candlelight and a perfect atmosphere – and all right in the heart of the town.
“We’re really hoping that the people of Huddersfield will want to come and share this with us.”

Rachel said the church would like to partner with charities for some events in the run-up to next Christmas to raise funds for the church and the charities.
She added: “Carol services across our valleys and villages are packed out to bursting every year and our local cathedrals sell out many carol services as ticketed events, raising much needed funds to support the local church and local charities.
“We hope our programme next year will include some more of these special services in partnership with local charities and we’d love to hear from anyone who would like to plan a carol service event for their charity.”
Beer and carols will be the theme on Tuesday, December 16 and will feature plenty of singing, great beer, mulled wine and non-alcoholic options.
The Noisy Cow Theatre Company will be performing A Christmas Carol at the church on Friday, December 19 at 6pm and Saturday, December 20 at 2.30pm and 6pm.
Sunday, December 21 will see the Longest Night Eucharist at 6.30pm.
Rachel added: “This is a contemplative and accessible service for anyone feeling sad or isolated by the approach of Christmas or who wants to pray with people who feel that way at this time of year.”
The church will be open on Saturday, December 20 between 10am and 1pm for anyone needing a bite to eat and a friendly welcome.
There is a Christmas Tree of Remembrance at the church throughout December where people can write a prayer or the name of a loved one on the stars provided and add it to the tree.
There will be a service after Christmas on Sunday, January 11 at 4pm, where prayers will be said for these remembered loved ones.
