Father Christmas will be giving out free gifts at a Huddersfield shop this weekend.
Energy supplier Utilita is transforming its hub on New Street in the town centre into a grotto this Saturday (December 6) from 11.30am to 3pm and Santa will be there providing free presents to children.
All Santa asks in return is for them to bring one non-perishable food item which Utilita will donate to a food bank in Huddersfield.
Gifts are aimed at children aged up to 10 but anyone is welcome to meet Santa and take a photo with him. There will be one free gift per child while stocks last.
Huddersfield Energy Hub supervisor James Auty said: “There’s plenty on offer for visiting adults too. You’ll be offered a cuppa as well as free and simple energy advice to help make your energy spend go further this winter.”
Utilita’s high street hubs make it simple for people to manage their energy – no phone lines or online dashboards, just a friendly face to speak to.
Utilita’s energy experts are on hand to help whether people are looking for account support, help to manage their spend or for energy-saving advice.
The hub’s Community Room provides local groups and charities with a free and warm space for them to hold meetings or community events which includes wi-fi and refreshments.
The Utilita Huddersfield Energy Hub is open from Monday to Saturday at 71 New Street, Huddersfield, HD1 2BQ and anyone interested in using the hub’s dedicated community space free-of-charge can book a session by emailing huddersfield@utilita.co.uk.
