Huddersfield property entrepreneur Chan Khangura has completed his latest acquisition.
Chan, managing director of Whitegates Estate Agents in Huddersfield, has acquired boutique agent Intelligent Lettings.
Intelligent Lettings, run by Nick Heaton, covers the rental market in Huddersfield, Wakefield and Pontefract.
It’s Chan’s 13th acquisition and his third of 2026. Whitegates is Huddersfield’s largest lettings agency with a total managed portfolio fast approaching 2,000 properties.
Chan also owns the Whitegates franchises for Mirfield and Pontefract, Castleford and South Elmsall.
Chan said: “I am delighted to confirm the acquisition of boutique agent Intelligent Lettings and I want to thank Nick for choosing us to take his business into the future ahead of other interested parties.
“This is our third acquisition of the year so far as we continue to grow the business and seek out new opportunities.”
The latest acquisition has been overseen by associate director Liam Reilly and Chan said: “Liam and the staff have worked very hard over the last few weeks ensuring the handover has been as smooth as possible.
“When it comes to acquiring another business, a lot of ‘invisible’ tasks are required before, during and after. The administration involved is huge but our staff always rise to the challenge.
“The team shows a real togetherness and desire to go further and further. We continue to push forward.”
