Newsome went clear at the top of Division One of the Huddersfield & District League with a comfortable 4-0 win over Linthwaite Athletic with goals from Todd Calvert, Kyle Walton (two) and Josimar Bradshaw. Fothergill & Whittles, despite a goal from Ryan Healey, remain third losing 2-1 at home to Scholes.

Liam Dobson (two), Wayne Shooter (two) and Luke Gibson scored for Berry Brow against bottom club Shelley in a 5-1 win. Bradley Johnson scored for Shelley.

Shepley lost at home to Heywood Irish Centre 5-0 whose goals came from Nathan Eastwood (two) and Kieron Mayall (three). Jordan Boland was on top form with six in Diggle’s 9-2 win away at Slaithwaite United with Diggle’s other goals coming from Daniel Evans (two) and Adam Rowe. Tom Dyson and Ashley Beardsall scored for Slaithwaite.

In the Sheffield and Hallam Challenge Cup Skelmanthorpe lost 3-2 to South Elmsall United from the Sheffield County Senior League whilst goals from Seb Allen, Charlie Allen (two), Sam Hobson Richard Lally and Alex Kemp saw Holmbridge beat Haworth Colliery from the Central Midlands League. 

Britannia Sports went top of division two as goals from Seb Avery (two), Kieran Lenihan (two), Daniel Walker and Ryan Lach saw off Holme Valley Academicals 6-1. Chris Lokoy scored for the Accies.

Dalton Dynamos are second with a narrow 4-3 win over Netherton. Netherton’s goals came from Joe Rushworth, Tyler Broscombe and Ryan Burchael.

Jack Goring was on target for Kirkburton, scoring four at they beat Almondbury Woolpack 7-1 with the other goals coming from Luke Jackson (two) and Troy Toulcher. Ashley Randle scoring a consolation for the Woolpack.

Cumberworth with goals from Charlie Seargent and Luke Seatan narrowly beat AFC Lindley 2-1. Lepton Highlanders slipped down top third losing 4-3 to Huddersfield LH. Clifford Creighton, Louis Wrafter and Nicholas Townend (two) scored for the Laund Hill whilst Daniel Conway, James Keenan and Ricardo Ianzito scored for the Highlanders.

Kirkheaton are up to fourth beating bottom club Marsh United 7-0 with goals from Oliver Martin, Nathan Goddard (four) and Jonathan Askin (two).

Deighton remain top of division three with an eight-match winning run after beating second placed Moorside 6-3. Jason Evans scored all three for Moorside whilst Dante Newell (two), Kahalil Shafiq, Ben Stott, Dwayne Wilkinson and Jamel Simpson scored for Deighton.

Brook Motors are up to third after a 12-1 win over bottom club AFC Dalton. Ryan Fisher, Kyle Silkstone, Phil Rigby, Ashley Hyde, Dylan Brett (five) and Alex Roberts (three) scored for the Motors.

In another high scoring game prolific marksman Cameron Wilkey hit six for the second time this season as Grange Moor Saints beat Hade Edge 9-2. Tom Arnold scored two for Hade Edge and the other Saints scorers were Jamie Blaymires, Aaron Harrott and Ethan Flynn.

John Conheeney and Frazer Hepplestone scored for Marsden Cuckoos as the drew with Scissett whose goals were scored by Ryan Trafford and Kyle White. Meltham travelled up the Holme Valley and came away with the points in an 8-0 win over Cartworth Moor with goals from Jack Ellis-Pownall (three), Thomas Scandling, Louis Carmody, Nathan Moore and Toby Farrington (two). 

Wooldale Wanderers regained top spot in division four following goals for Ben Clark (three) and Adam Summerscales (two) in their 5-3 win away at second placed Brighouse Athletic, whose goals were scored by Jordan Hoyle (two) and Louis Barker.

AFC Volunteers remain with an unbeaten record in third after a narrow 3-2 win over Honley with goals from Paul Wright, William Gregson and an own goal. Jermaine Edwards and Ben Lindley scored for Honley.

Flockton dropped to bottom of the division after their narrow 2-1 defeat at Holmfirth Town. A Joe Thompson double for West End Park saw off Saddleworth United in a 2-0 win. Mount with goals from Jay Wells (three), Trevor Watson (two), Dwayne Dunstan, Shane Moore, Jamaine Hamlett and Callum Crosby overcame a spirited Thorpe Giants 9-4 whose goals were scored by Oliver Hughes, John Elliot (two) and Tom McCabe.

In the Reserve divisions Newsome are top of division one beating Linthwaite Athletic 3-2 with goals from Dean Simmonds (two) and Adam Hill. Cav Joyce, Joe Jadach and Robert Davidson scored as Dalton Dynamos went second in their 3-2 win over Scholes.

Jack Bland scored the only goal as Heywood Irish Centre beat Netherton 1-0. Fothergill and Whittles moved up to third with goals from Dion Latham (two), Luke Hibbert (two) and Jonathan Barnes in a 5-4 win at Britannia Sports.

Shelley remain bottom losing 4-2 at home to Deighton. James Leslie and Mohammed Numan Ali scored for Shelley and Liam Royal (two) and Matthew Shaw (two) scored for Deighton.

Kirkburton stay top of division two with a narrow 2-1 win over Britannia Sports A with goals from Joe Martin and Joseph Lockwood. Ryan Lenihan scored for Britannia. Bradley Dawson and Taylor McLachlan scored for Meltham in their 2-0 win over Marsh United.

Jahmal Lewi scored for Scissett, and Lavell Pierre scored for Holme Valley Academicals in a 1-1 draw whilst Scholes A drew with Almondbury Woolpack 3-3. Nathan Broadhead, Andrew Senior and Rob McDowell scored Goals for Woolpack.

Berry Brow A are top of division three beating Mount 4-1 with goals from Raymond Chingombe (two), Jacob Ghani, Stephen Njenga. Ellis Houghton scored for Mount.

Cumberworth A are up to third with goals from Ethan Phelan (two) and Harvey Rotchell in a 3-2 win over Linthwaite Athletic A. Skelmanthorpe with hattricks from Jimmy Brothers and Dan Wainwright easily overcame Netherton A 6-0. Hade Edge made the short journey down to Wooldale and came away with the points in a 6-1 win with goals from Luke Brown, Harry Airstone (two) and three from Thomas Hancock.

Deighton are second completely overwhelming Cartworth Moor 16-1. Leevan Brown was the pick of Deighton’s scorers with four and Adam Brooksbank scored for Cartworth. A Jacob Bentley goal was not enough for Grange Moor Saints as they lost at home to Slaithwaite United 3-1. Slawit’s goals were scored by Bradley Dearnley, Dominik Moorhouse and Josh Moore. 

Gabriel McNae (two) and Richard Denton scored as Brook Motors Development beat West End Park Development 3-1. Nathan Williams scored for West End Park. Fothergill and Whittles A moved up to third in division four with goals from Matthew Fallon (two), Joshua Baxter-Wild, Peter Fenton and Tom Hampshire in a 5-0 win over Hade Edge A.

Dalton Dynamos A stay top of the division by beating second placed Shepley 6-0. Ryan Brant and Max Cocker sored as Kirkheaton Rovers beat Cumberworth B 2-1. Ethan Lear scored for Cumberworth. Berry Brow B with goals from Jamal Bent (three), Dion Armstrong, Richard Hanvey, Daniel Moulson (two) and Ben Lodge beat Scissett Development 8-4. Jacob Kilner, Dan Sykes and Lee Tinsley (two) scored for Scissett.
