Huddersfield-born bricklayer turned darts professional Charlie Manby has sealed a sponsorship deal with kitchens, bedrooms and joinery firm Howdens.
‘Champagne’ Charlie, 20, shot to fame last year when he reached the last 16 on his debut appearance at the Darts World Championships at Alexandra Palace.
In 2025 Charlie, from Flockton, recorded the highest ever 9-dart average of 130.7 whilst playing in a Development tour tournament.
Charlie started playing darts aged 12 and until recently combined his darts career with bricklaying for his girlfriend’s dad’s firm in Kirkburton.

The Howdens sponsorship includes shirt sponsorship, event appearances and tickets to events.
Charlie said: “It’s brilliant to team up with Howdens. The team understands where I’ve come from and is known for backing the trade.”
Conor Laville, director of marketing at Howdens, said: “Charlie represents the next generation coming through, and he hasn’t forgotten where he started.
“Balancing his trade with competing at the highest level says a lot about his mindset. That work ethic mirrors the customers we support across the UK, and we’re pleased to be backing him at this stage of his career, and our depots across the UK will be cheering him on as he pushes on this season.”
