The Comedy Cellar returns to Lawrence Batley Theatre on Thursday November 27 with another selection of superb stand-up talent.
Headlining the show is Mick Ferry, who is renowned as a ‘fine purveyor of lugubrious surrealism’ and was voted Best UK Stand-up in a prestigious national poll of his peers.
Described by John Bishop as ‘a great comedian’ and by Jason Manford as ‘an absolute legend’ Mick performs regularly at The Comedy Store in London as well as a member of the prestigious topical Cutting Edge Team.
On our TV screens, Mick has starred in BBC One’s Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow as well as The Comedy Store for Comedy Central, Edinburgh Comedy Fest, The World Stands Up and the acclaimed Ken Loach film Looking For Eric.
Opening the event is Sam Serrano described as ‘a fully formed comedian with killer lines’ by comedy industry website Chortle.
Sam has appeared on Comedy Central Live with a highly amusing mix of one-liners, anecdotes, parody songs and inventive self-deprecatory wit.
There are also sets from the observational wit of Ravi and the self-deprecatory Hollie Noble, with MC duties from the supremely laconic Rich Austin.
The show starts at 8pm and tickets are £15, available at the venue box office or via the Lawrence Batley Theatre website.
