A show celebrating the music of Joni Mitchell is set to wow an audience at Huddersfield Town Hall this weekend.
Taking on the mantle of the legendary Canadian-American singer-songwriter will be outstanding vocalist Hattie Whitehead.
‘Hejira – Celebrating Joni Mitchell’ is at Huddersfield Town Hall on Sunday March 29 (7.30pm).
Hattie’s vocals have similar qualities to Joni and she plays the guitar like her too.
Aside from mastering Joni’s vocal mannerisms, Hattie is a great singer-songwriter in her own right.
This year sees the 50th anniversary of Joni’s great album ‘Hejira’ and Hattie is joined by a band made up of world class musicians.
Many describe Joni as one of the greatest singer-songwriters of the 20th century. Expect an evening of Joni’s classics such as ‘Amelia’, ‘Help Me’, ‘A Case Of You’, ‘Song For Sharon’ and ‘Hissing of Summer Lawns’.
The band comprises: Ollie Weston – tenor, soprano saxophones and bass clarinet; Chris Eldred – keyboards; Pete Oxley – guitar; Dave Jones – bass; Rick Finlay – drums; and Marc Cecil – percussion.
Tickets cost from £23 and more information is available HERE.
