A big thank-you from Hepworth Band as they head to the Royal Albert Hall to ‘do it for Yorkshire’!

With the finals of the 2026 National Brass Band Championships of Great Britain at London’s iconic Royal Albert Hall on Saturday October 3, Hepworth Band would like to say a really big thank-you to everyone who has supported its National Finals appeal and all of the band’s fundraising events.

The band wants to give a special shout out to all the companies which have helped: the Adelphi Group of Companies, DLT Podiatry Supplies, Dixons Milk Ices, Fuel Doctor, Steri-Pod, The Butchers Arms, Hepworth, and Red Lion Inn, Jackson Bridge. Turnbridge Autos Ltd has helped with the cost of the coach.

Band manager Yvonne Embury said: “We really do appreciate and value the support from our local community – we couldn’t do it without you!

“We’ll be working hard over the coming week with our final preparations for the set work: ‘A Road Less Travelled By’ by composer Philip Sparke.

“As reigning Yorkshire Champions and fresh from our 6th place finish at the British Open Brass Band Championships, we’re enjoying getting stuck into our next challenge. Let’s see if together we can do it again for Yorkshire!”
